bewCloud
A personal cloud does not need the weight of a small enterprise suite, and bewCloud proves it by keeping files, photos, notes, contacts, and calendars in one compact service a single person can run for a whole household. The Files app stores uploads in a plain folder tree on disk, offers public sharing links, optional whole-folder downloads as zip archives, and a WebDAV endpoint that desktop tools can mount. Photos turns that same storage into a browsable gallery, while Notes keeps quick text within reach of every login. Contacts and Calendar speak CardDAV and CalDAV through a bundled Radicale server, so the calendar and address book on a phone or laptop stay in sync without another account anywhere. News collects feeds to read in the browser, and Expenses tracks spending in a small ledger beside everything else. The header shows only the apps you enable, in the order you choose, and companion desktop and mobile apps connect to the same server for people who prefer native sync. Accounts can be protected with multi-factor authentication using TOTP, passkeys, or email codes, and optional single sign-on lets a household sign in through an existing identity provider. Running on a dedicated VPS on RepoCloud with guaranteed CPU, RAM, and SSD, full root SSH access, and a browser serial console. AGPL-3.0 licensed.
Benefits
- One Service, Whole Household Cloud
- Files, photos, notes, news, expenses, contacts, and calendar live in a single Deno application backed by PostgreSQL, so a family cloud needs one deployment instead of a stack of separate tools.
- Plain Folders, No Lock-In
- Uploaded files sit in an ordinary folder tree on disk under each user account, which keeps backups trivial with standard tools and means your data stays readable without the application.
- Phones Sync Without Extra Accounts
- The bundled Radicale server speaks CardDAV and CalDAV, so built-in phone and desktop clients sync contacts and calendars directly against your server with no third-party account in between.
- Serious Sign-In Protections Built In
- Multi-factor authentication with TOTP, passkeys, or email codes, optional email verification, and OpenID Connect single sign-on protect accounts far beyond a simple password-only personal cloud setup.
Features
- Files With WebDAV Access
- Browser file management with public sharing links, optional zip downloads of whole directories, and a WebDAV endpoint that desktop sync tools and operating systems can mount.
- Photos, Notes, News, Expenses
- A photo gallery over the same file storage, a notes app, an in-browser feed reader, and a small expense ledger, each enabled or hidden from the header by configuration.
- CardDAV And CalDAV Sync
- Contacts and calendars are served by Radicale over CardDAV and CalDAV, matching the sync protocols built into iOS, Android, Thunderbird, and desktop calendar applications.
- Configurable App Header
- The enabledApps setting chooses which of the dashboard, files, news, notes, photos, expenses, contacts, and calendar apps appear, and in what order, per deployment.
- Multi-Factor And SSO Login
- TOTP, passkey, and email-code multi-factor authentication, plus optional OpenID Connect single sign-on with configurable scopes and email attribute mapping for household identity providers.
- Desktop And Mobile Companions
- Separate bewCloud desktop and mobile applications connect to your server, giving native sync and access alongside the browser interface for people who prefer installed apps.
