Libre-Closet

Your closet, cataloged like an inventory system instead of a pile you rummage through every morning. Photograph each garment once and record its name, category, brand, size, colors, washing details, and acquisition date, then filter the whole wardrobe by custom categories you define yourself, with type-ahead suggestions keeping entries consistent. Uploads get automatic background removal and WebP optimization, so every item sits on a clean backdrop that makes outfits easy to judge side by side. The outfit builder combines garments into saved looks, and the scheduling calendar lays those looks across the week while showing what you have already worn, so repeats and neglected favorites become obvious. A weather forecast rides along on each calendar day, and tapping a day opens the detail you need before dressing for an important date. Wardrobes can be shared through invite links with view-only or can-edit permissions, which suits couples, families, and stylists managing client closets. The interface installs to a phone home screen as a PWA and keeps working offline, with the UI available in seven languages. Run it wide open for personal use or switch on JWT accounts for a multi-user household, all from one container with SQLite on local disk. Running on a dedicated VPS on RepoCloud with guaranteed CPU, RAM, and SSD, full root SSH access, and a browser serial console. AGPL-3.0 licensed.

Benefits

  • Every garment photographed and searchable
  • Each item carries a photo plus name, category, brand, size, colors, and washing details, so the whole wardrobe can be filtered and browsed from a phone instead of memory.
  • Outfits planned against the forecast
  • The scheduling calendar assigns outfits to days of the week, shows what was already worn, and overlays the weather forecast for each day so plans match conditions outside.
  • One container, no database chores
  • A single Docker image serves everything on port 3000 with SQLite and local file storage by default; PostgreSQL and S3-compatible storage are optional upgrades, never prerequisites.
  • Wardrobes shared with real permissions
  • Invite links grant another account view-only or can-edit access to your wardrobe, so partners coordinate outfits and stylists manage client closets without sharing passwords.

Features

  • Garment catalog fields
  • Records name, customizable category, brand, size, color combinations, notes, washing details, and acquisition date per garment, with cloning and archival for similar or retired items.
  • Automatic background removal
  • Uploaded garment photos have their backgrounds removed automatically and are optimized to WebP, producing clean product-style images that combine well in the outfit builder.
  • Outfit builder and scheduling
  • Combines garments into saved looks, then schedules multiple outfits per day across the week with a history view of what was worn and when.
  • Offline-ready PWA
  • Installs to the home screen as a progressive web app that keeps working without a connection; the interface ships in English, Italian, French, Russian, German, Spanish, and Danish.
  • Optional JWT accounts
  • Runs account-free for personal use by default, or enables JWT authentication for multi-user households; registration can be disabled once the intended accounts exist.
