Hi.Events
Hi.Events is an alternative to Eventbrite, Tickettailor, and Dice.fm, eliminating per-ticket platform fees entirely when self-hosted. Event organizers create fully brandable event pages supporting paid, free, donation, and tiered ticket types with recurring and multi-date scheduling, sold-out waitlists that automatically release tickets when spots open, and product add-ons with category organization. Stripe Connect integration processes payments directly to the organizer's bank account with instant payouts, while offline payment methods support cash and invoice scenarios. Promo codes offer fixed or percentage discounts with usage limits, expiry dates, and promo-gated hidden tickets for VIP access. QR code check-in enables fast door scanning with multiple check-in lists, scan logs, and real-time attendance tracking across entry points. Custom checkout questions collect attendee information beyond standard fields, with advanced search, filtering, CSV and XLSX export, full and partial refunds, and bulk attendee messaging. The analytics dashboard tracks daily sales, revenue, tax breakdowns, product performance, and promo code usage with exportable reports, while affiliate tracking assigns custom codes to promoters with tracked sales data. Multi-user roles control organizer permissions, automatic invoicing generates receipts, and the REST API ships with interactive OpenAPI documentation. Running on a dedicated VPS on RepoCloud with guaranteed CPU, RAM, and SSD, full root SSH access, and a browser serial console. AGPL-3.0 licensed.
Apache EventMesh
Applications publish an event once and stop caring who needs it next: Apache EventMesh receives CloudEvents over plain HTTP, stores them durably, and delivers each one to every subscription that matches. Producers call publish, consumers call subscribe or unsubscribe, and the runtime owns the registry, offsets, acknowledgements, and redelivery that messaging clients usually force you to build yourself. Subscribers choose load-balanced delivery for competing workers, broadcast delivery for every listener, or multicast for selected groups, and they receive events by HTTP long polling, Server-Sent Events, or WebSocket push. Filters drop irrelevant events before they leave the mesh, while transformers reshape payloads so a producer and consumer can disagree about format without either one changing code. Kafka and RocketMQ act as pluggable write-ahead storage, with an in-memory backend for development, and stateless runtime instances scale horizontally without consumer-group rebalancing. Twenty-three connectors move events into and out of RabbitMQ, Pulsar, MongoDB, MySQL change data capture, Redis, S3, Prometheus, Slack, DingTalk, Lark, WeChat, and AI services, each checkpointing offsets so failures replay instead of silently losing data. Agent-to-Agent protocol support and MCP connectors let AI agents exchange asynchronous events alongside synchronous tool calls, and event-triggered agents can publish decisions back into the mesh for downstream delivery. Mercure
Mercure is a realtime hub that pushes updates from your backend straight to browsers over Server-Sent Events, so live dashboards, chat rooms, and activity feeds refresh the moment data changes. Subscribers connect through the browser's built-in EventSource API and choose topics with exact matchers for single resources or URL Pattern matchers for whole families such as /books/:id. Publishers send one form-encoded POST to the hub endpoint, and Mercure fans each update out to every matching connection instantly. JWT access tokens grant publish and subscribe rights topic by topic, so private updates reach only entitled clients while public topics can stay open to anonymous subscribers. If a connection drops, the client reconnects with its last event ID and Mercure replays the updates it missed from stored history. Subscription events announce every arrival and departure, so your application gets live presence and a current list of who is connected. A built-in debug UI shows messages flowing through the hub alongside active subscriptions, turning realtime bugs into something you can watch happen. Optional end-to-end encryption protects sensitive payloads, and any backend able to send an HTTP POST can publish, whatever language it runs.
